Dolomites Driving Tour: 12 Editions of Curves & Passion

Delightful Driving Dolomites Tour 2026: Four days on the most beautiful roads in the Dolomites

Twelve editions, countless corners, and a passion that continues to bring together enthusiasts from all over Europe. In 2026, our Delightful Driving Dolomites Tour returned for four days dedicated to sports cars, mountain roads, and, above all, the people who make every edition special.

Our base was once again the Smart Hotel Saslong in Val Gardena. From here, we set off to experience one of the best Dolomites driving tours ever, crossing the mountain passes between Alto Adige, Trentino, and Veneto.

This year, the program required some last-minute changes, but what initially seemed like a hurdle turned into a beautiful surprise. Many participants even told us that, from a driving perspective, this was one of the best editions we’ve ever hosted.
Looking back, we perfectly understand why.

Thursday: The Delightful Driving Family Reunites

As always, the tour kicked off on Thursday evening with arrivals at the Smart Hotel Saslong. One of the things we love most about our events is seeing the garage fill up with colorful cars. Different brands and models are united by the exact same desire to drive and have fun. Ours is an international group: some are joining for the first time, while others return year after year. Yet, after just a few minutes, the same thing always happens: people start chatting about engines, new friendships form, and the group takes shape.
This is the Delightful Driving spirit. It doesn’t matter what car you drive or where you come from: all that matters is the desire to share the road in great company.

Friday: Passo Giau, San Pellegrino, and Autumn in the Mountains

In June 2026, new regulations for motoring events were introduced on certain roads in Alto Adige. We had to revise part of the itinerary, shifting the focus to the passes between Trentino and Veneto. Judging by the smiles (and the comments), it was an absolutely spot-on choice.

After setting off, we headed towards Passo Giau, one of the most spectacular roads in the Alps, for a coffee break with a view. From there, we continued towards Passo San Pellegrino, with its long straights immersed in the woods, alternating between flowing sections and breathtaking corners.
This year, we were incredibly lucky with the weather. Sunshine and almost summer-like temperatures allowed us to travel with the roofs down, enjoying the mountain air and the early autumn colors. A truly perfect combination.

In the afternoon, following an excellent group lunch, we reached Lake Fedaia for our traditional photo. The contrast between the sports cars and the Dolomite peaks makes this stop simply unmissable. Back at the hotel, a pre-dinner aperitif allowed us to properly celebrate the day (let’s just say someone celebrated a bit more than the others, but it was well deserved! 😉).

Saturday: Lavazè, Mendola, and Palade, Far from the Traffic

While a long line of tourist cars and campers headed towards the most crowded spots in the Dolomites, we chose to go in the opposite direction. Sometimes, to find the right roads, you simply have to avoid following everyone else.

The day began by aiming for Passo Lavazè, the starting point for a route full of curves, then continuing towards the Val di Non and the Mendola and Palade passes.
These roads gave us the best driving moments of the weekend. They deserve to be driven unhurriedly, taking in the tarmac and the scenery. Moving away from the most heavily trafficked areas proved to be a winning choice, allowing us to maintain that steadily relaxed pace we always seek on our tours.

After a great lunch at the La Pineta restaurant, the afternoon return slipped by on quiet roads, beautifully rounding off a Saturday filled with satisfaction behind the wheel.

Twelve Editions and a Passion That Continues

Organizing this tour for the twelfth time makes us reflect on how important it has become for us. The cars, the people, and the routes change, and sometimes you have to deal with the unexpected. That is exactly what makes every experience unique.

The roads remain fundamental, and we always look for the right balance between driving pleasure and scenery. But it’s not just the corners that make a tour memorable: it’s the people we meet, the chats at lunch, the laughs at the end of the day, and that sense of freedom that only spontaneous sharing can provide.
Thank you to all the participants, veterans and newcomers alike, for tackling this Dolomites Tour 2026 with the right enthusiasm and spirit.

The Dolomites continue to give us extraordinary roads, and we never get tired of exploring them.
