Grand Tour of Switzerland: Through Iconic Passes and the Austrian Alps
Day 1: Gathering in Andermatt

Day 2: Atmospheric Fog and a Double Dose of the Furka Pass
Day two opened with a thick, atmospheric fog that made the high-altitude scenery feel almost dramatic. We started climbing, linking together the Furka Pass, the Grimsel Pass, and the Susten Pass. A coffee break at the historic Grimsel Hospiz came at the perfect moment to warm up, share a few laughs, and chat about the first driving sections before heading down for lunch at the Andermatt golf course.
In the afternoon, the route got even more fascinating: we ascended the historic Tremola with its unmistakable cobblestones, then tackled the Nufenen Pass, and enjoyed a second run over the Furka. Roads that were just challenging enough, deeply scenic, and incredibly rewarding.

Day 3: From Andermatt to Austria, Through Safiental and Silvaplana
On the third day, we said goodbye to Andermatt and headed east. Our route took us first over the Oberalp Pass, then through the wild landscapes of the Safiental, climbing up to the Albula Pass and Julier Pass until we reached Silvaplana. There, a lunch stop at Hotel Albana offered a fantastic break before getting back behind the wheel.
In the afternoon, we continued through Lenzerheide before crossing the border into Austria towards Rankweil. The transition from Switzerland to Austria felt smooth and flowed perfectly with the rhythm of the trip.

Day 4: The Furkajoch and the Beauty of the Namlos Valley
The final leg started from Rankweil, climbing towards Furkajoch and Damüls, then venturing into the scenic Lechtal past Stanzach. But the true highlight of the day was driving through the Namlos Valley (Namloser Tal): a smooth, flowing, and endlessly fun ribbon of tarmac framed by spectacular mountains.
We gathered for one last meal together at Gasthof Kreuz in Namlos for our final goodbyes. It was time for the usual “see you at the next tour.” Everyone headed home with cars full of great memories, new friendships, and the certainty that when it comes to bringing together great roads and great people, Delightful Driving always hits the mark.
