Delightful Driving has just concluded its tour of the Langhe, marking the first edition in this area with memorable success. A fascinating automotive adventure awaited the participants in the Langhe, with a route that wound through the region’s winding roads, offering breathtaking views and an unforgettable culinary experience.
Friday: Welcome to Alba
The tour started on Friday afternoon at the Hotel in Alba. At 2:30 PM, participants checked in and prepared for the weekend. At 4:00 PM, we immersed ourselves in the heart of Alba with a pleasant stroll through the city center, followed by a wine tasting at the acclaimed Roberto Sarotto winery. Five different wines were tasted in the square, providing an introduction to the region’s enological delights. The return to the hotel was marked by a less straight, but pleasant walk, culminating in a typical dinner that delighted the palate with local delicacies.
Saturday: Discovering the Langhe
Saturday was dedicated to a panoramic tour of the Langhe, traversing fascinating roads through the high Langhe. This was not just a tour to discover the “king of wines,” but an excursion through charming hills that left participants speechless. The concentration of suggestions and emotions made this itinerary unique, a compendium of all those ingredients that contributed to declaring this territory a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The intense drive was interspersed with slow stretches that allowed participants to admire the hilly landscape of the Langhe. A particularly thrilling stretch of road added a touch of pre-lunch adventure. Lunch was an authentic experience at a characteristic local trattoria.
Sunday: Sweet Conclusion
Sunday began with a tasting of ice cream and hazelnuts, a sweet stop to conclude the tour beautifully. Participants departed for this tasting in the Ferrero region, passing through the beautiful Diano d’Alba, which offers a spectacular view. The experience culminated around 11:30 AM, giving participants the opportunity to conclude this journey in the Langhe with sweet memories and the desire to return in the future.
Aboard our cars, we explored the beauties of this region, tasted fine wines, immersed ourselves in the local culture, and enjoyed enchanting views. The tour, dedicated also to tastings, offered exciting driving moments as well. It was an unforgettable weekend among the hills and flavors of the Langhe, an experience that left us with the desire to repeat it.
