Dolomites Tour – The Perfect End to the Season

Dolomites Tour – The Perfect End to the Season

We wrapped up the Delightful Driving season with our Dolomites Tour at the end of September. As always, the Dolomites gave us something unforgettable — pure emotions… and a bit of rain. The weather wasn’t exactly on our side this year, but that never stopped us.

This is where a Dolomites sports car tour becomes a total experience: hands tight on the steering wheel, the sound of the engine echoing through the rocks. You don’t need endless horsepower or invasive electronics — what matters is the pure connection between you, the car, and the road.

At the end of the day, with your stomach growling and your heart still full of curves, you realize that driving here isn’t just about getting from A to B. It’s about living the mountains in their truest form — to the rhythm of the engine, curve after curve.

Thursday – The Magic of Passo Sella

Our first evening took us up to Passo Sella, along a spectacular, completely traffic-free climb. The view over the Dolomites and the Sassolungo reminded us why these roads are among the best to drive. Coming back down for dinner at the Smart Hotel Saslong was a pleasure — delicious food and that familiar group atmosphere starting to warm up.

This year we had around thirty cars, and for the first time, more Porsches than Lotus: a perfect mix of passion and variety.

Friday – Between Snowflakes and Autumn Leaves

The next morning looked like something out of a “Winter Tour”. The first snowflakes were falling on the Sella, while the sun peeked through the clouds from time to time. Semi-slicks made wet driving a little tricky, but some wisely switched to more suitable cars like the Yaris GR — and still had plenty of fun.

The scenery was breathtaking: golden leaves, red trees, clouds and sunlight trading places. Our lunch stop at Cant del Gal was warm and cozy before we took on the Passo Giau in the afternoon. That’s where our photographer Nicolò literally lay down in the rain to capture the best shots — and he nailed it.

Saturday – A Sunny Farewell

The final day gifted us with beautiful sunshine. Perfect curves, landscapes, and roads marked the last stretch of our Dolomites Tour — the best possible way to close the season.

But beyond the miles behind the wheel, what really stands out is the group itself: we don’t come only to drive, but to share moments, laughter, and friendships. Every year, familiar faces return and new ones join, and that’s one of the best parts of Delightful Driving.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined and brought such great energy and enthusiasm. It was a tour to remember, and we can’t wait to see what the Dolomites will bring us next time.
