Black Forest: driving curves, deep woods and a dinner in the garage
Friday evening set the tone right away. At the Hotel FederWerk in St. Georgen, engines were still ticking hot from the trip, handshakes were exchanged, and the atmosphere was already buzzing with that familiar excitement of the first evening of a tour.
Saturday morning, engines started at 9:30. Ahead of us lay the very best roads of the Black Forest: smooth curves, tight hairpins, long straights cutting through walls of trees as tall as cathedrals. The morning went by quickly, with a strategic coffee stop to recharge (and for those who simply can’t live without one). Then we pushed on to Kniebishütte, where lunch at altitude was the perfect break before the afternoon drive.

Back at the hotel, all cars were parked in the garage. The engines were still hot, and eventually… the fire alarm went off! Instead of panic, the moment turned into pure fun: laughter all around, and even the firefighters showed up. That just made it more memorable. Aperitivo and a four-course meal surrounded by our cars in the garage will definitely go down as one of the weekend’s highlights.
After dinner, we turned off the room lights and let the cars illuminate the space — a true spectacle.

Sunday morning the convoy rolled out again. The route took us through Furtwangen and St. Märgen, then onto Todtnau and Todtmoos. Here the Black Forest revealed its most playful side: sweeping bends, rhythm changes, and endless shades of green flashing past the windscreen. The final stretch led us to Kamino restaurant, where a light lunch marked the end of the tour.
Three days of driving, scenery, laughter and stories. The Black Forest once again proved why it’s a driver’s paradise—and why we’ll keep coming back.
