Some people put their sports car away as soon as winter arrives. And then there’s us—who decided not to stop even when it gets cold.
Thanks to our new partnership with PureDriving Motorsport + Events GmbH, this year Delightful Driving is taking its delightful drivers to Swedish Lapland, in Malå, for an experience that blends technique, adrenaline, and otherworldly landscapes: ice driving in Lapland, the real Winter Driving Training.
I’ll be there from February 20th to 23rd, because driving on ice has always been on my “do it at least once in your life” list. And finally, the right moment has arrived.
And there’s a perk for DD members: an exclusive 10% discount, sent through our latest newsletter.
If you weren’t subscribed yet and missed it—no worries. Just message us and you’ll still get it.
Winter Driving Training: what do you actually do?
The focus is simple: improve real-world car control.
No endless theory, no “demo laps.” Here you drive. A lot.
The program covers:
- managing oversteer and understeer
- braking on ice
- weight transfer
- controlled drifting
- quick and precise corrections
The average? Six full hours of real driving per day.
The studded Toyota GR Yaris (400 spikes per tire) create ideal conditions to learn and to feel every reaction of the car clearly.
It’s suitable for all levels:
- motivated beginners
- experienced drivers
- anyone looking to refine sensitivity and technique
You can work closely with the coaches or drive independently if you already have experience. No rigid program.
